    Description

VINTAGE STANLEY METAL THERMOS "It Will Not Break" Made by Landers, Frary & Clark in New Britain, Connecticut U.S.A.
Dimensions: Height 18 inches / Width 11 inches.
Working metal spigot / two handles for carrying / sturdy toggle lock downs for thermos top/lid.
This bottle does not have a code on the bottom so it is most likely one of the bottles manufactured between 1933 - 1940 (details below).
Internet sources point to this being military issue and the original color being green. This one is silver but appears to have once been green as evidenced by a streak of green paint peeking through along the top. Some rust and 1 ding in the exterior as shown in the photos. Interior appears to be stainless and in good condition.
Guide to determining the age of your Stanley bottle:
    STANLEY PRODUCTION TIMELINE:
1915 – 1921: Stanley Insulating Company, manufactured in Great Barrington
1921 – 1933: Landers, Frary & Clark, manufactured in Great Barrington, Mass
1933 – 1965: Landers, Frary & Clark, manufactured in New Britain, Conn
From 1933-1940 (LF&C, New Britain) – only some bottles are marked on the side of the bottle with a two digit number, which indicates the year of manufacture i.e. Code #38 = 1938. Bottles made after 1940 (1941-1946) are marked on the bottom with the following codes:1-12 = 1941 ....13-24 = 1942 ....25-36= 1943 and so on.
