    Description

    Large Tobacco / Ginger JAR or covered Container Canister Jar details:
    GORGEOUS!!!Tobacco Jar/ Ginger Jar or Lidded Canister - it is either glass or ceramic believe it is glass but looks like pottery. wonderful Western Hand Painted Cactus Scene w SCENIC blooming Cactus. We have had this  for literally 30+ year purchased from antique store.   it is quite wonderful piece of western memorabilia.  Mid century
    it is a gorgeous Large Covered Jar --  it doesn't appear anything has been stored in it, but could be either a tobacco Jar or a Ginger Jar possibly a Cannister Container. it is in the bean pot style
    the lid is quite beautiful & matches the Jar.  the jar is a color of a muted tan fading into brown with a ridged edge near the top. (see closeup)  the lid covers 1" of the bottom of the Jar so it comes over the lip opening about 1"
    it is wonderful well made.appears it is painted glass or ceramic that has been painted appears factory
    We used this as a bookend, in a bookcase- great way to display or use. or kitchen counter.
    so virtually no wear in the 30+ years we have had it & it is beautiful.
    one of a kind  piece. measures 7" tall x 7.5" wide (diameter) at its widest.
    the top is beautiful matching the sides which are cactus in bloom with beautiful yellow blooms. wonderful piece.  pictures below
