base is 1-3/4" x 4-1/2"; height is 1-3/4"
About 5 years ago, I bought the entire collection of machinist tools and lathe from an estate. The person who died (John E. Wehn from Baltimore) was 94 years old and he passed away in 2012. Who know when he acquired or made it.  I assume that it is at least 30 years old.  Most the tools that I bought from him were hand stamped with his name.  See front of vise (J. E. Wehn)  I have not used it since purchasing but kept it on my shelf for display. It is a real beauty and testament to find machinist work. It may have been hand made by him?? The owner had his own milling machine and other large equipment but was too heavy and large for me to buy.
