Peter Wolf, is one of the premiere contemporary German doll artists and is best known for sculpting dolls with a distinguished 18th century feel and appearance. His Queen Anne doll is an excellent representation of that period.
The Aristocratic Husband is a carved wooden doll that has hip jointed legs, wooden "spatula" hands and handmade silk costume from antique fabrics with soft gold highlights and metallic thread edging. The doll's vintage features are characteristic of 18th century style oil painted facial features. His wig features both the classic rolled curls at the sides and a long ponytail in the back.
This signed doll is numbered 1/35. Measures approx: 14"H
The Aristocratic Wife & Child
is a carved wooden doll that has hip jointed legs, wooden "spatula" hands and handmade silk gown from antique fabrics. The doll's vintage features are  characteristic of 18th century style oil painted facial features with "dot" highlighting of brows and lashes, bright cheek blush, hemp like wig and enamel glass eyes.  A beauty mark on her breast and cheek are among the lady's features. The aristocratic woman holds a small child. Atop her head, the mother wears a straw bonnet topped with a satin ribbon, and the baby wears a lace cap. This signed doll is numbered 14/30.
