PIRATES OF THE CARIBBEAN DISNEY GALLERY PRINT SIGNED BY R TOM GILLEON - 1989
You are bidding on a Rare Vintage Disneyland Pirates of the Caribbean print signed by R Tom Gilleon.
Renowned artist R. Tom Gilleon was a WED Disney Imagineer, theme park designer, and an illustrator. He created a lot of Disney paintings including one of Sleeping Beauty and he also worked on Disney Films.  After he left Imagineer, he became a famous Southwest Art/Indian painter.
I believe only 300 of these were produced by Disney and not many were signed by the Artist.  When Disneyland sold these at the Disneyland Gallery - usually the Artist was on hand that first day and would sign the print after it was purchased.  The artist did not sign them all.
This is a unbelievable item and needs to be framed to give it the justice it deserves. Everything is still intact and in FANTASTIC condition from the way it was purchased the day the Disney Gallery sold it. It came only matted from the Gallery.
The print size is about 13" x 9.5" and the single mat size is 16" x 20".
