This spectacular polymer (plastic) fantasy art note is one of the latest designs released by the Reed Banknote Co., Sarasota in 2019!  This new condition note is part of a set of four different denominations.  T
here are also 2018-dated , , and issues, all in gorgeous color on polymer.
This is the "regular" issue (about 2,000 pieces issued).  There is also an artist hand-signed "SPECIMEN" issue (only 30 pieces!) and a "deluxe" issue (204 pieces) as well.  Those issues have a see-through hologram over the seal on the note.  The regular issue has a facsimile signature of designer R. J. Reed and no hologram over the seal.
Palmyra Island is a small nearly-uninhabited island in the Pacific Ocean.  It is part of the Palmyra Atoll National Wildlife Refuge.  These notes feature beautiful color images of the area and security features such as the segmented foil strip and an extraordinary UV security feature as well.  The front of the note has a turtle and the back features an aerial view of the atoll.
This listing is for one "regular" issue note.  You can purchase a serially-numbered matched set of the - denominations and save on the cost by buying the full set of four 2018-dated "regular" bills.
Piwi the lovebird appears on these colorful notes, adding even more color to a spectacular array, and has also appeared on quite a few other of R. J. Reed's fantasy and advertising bills over the years, most notably the Piwi Island series named after him, perhaps making him the bird on the most different notes of all time and definitely the unofficial trademark of the Reed Banknote Co., Sarasota.  He also had a numismatic connection with the Florida United Numismatists (FUN) show, appearing at Reed's table there two different years, 2012 & 2013.

Rarely we come across buyers who have unrealistic expectations about the quality of non-genuine banknotes that we sometimes offer for sale.  These include movie prop notes, common novelty bills, Chinese hell notes, political notes, replica notes, reprint notes, and fantasy art bills.  Due to the fact that these "notes" are not issued by some monetary authority for use as real currency, they can not be held to the same print quality or paper quality standards as a genuine banknote printed by one of the big banknote companies like American Banknote or Thomas de la Rue.  Quality can vary depending on the type of "funny money" bill but they will definitely not be up to the standards of a banknote that has been created by fine-steel engraving.
