    Description

    Maker and age
    : This beautiful antique plate is by the renowned English ceramics firm Minton. It has the classic magenta Minton globe mark with laurel that was in use between 1912 and 1950. The mark includes the word England but not "Made in England". That phrase was added around 1912, suggesting that this plate was produced around that time.
    Design
    : The pattern is called Ripon and the handwritten pattern number B965 appears on the reverse.
    Condition
    : The plate has no nicks, chips, cracks, scratches, stains or repairs. There are many faint utensil marks that can be seen in bright light.
    Size
    : The plate is 8 7/8 inches wide and weighs 15.8 ounces.
