    Description

Beautiful Ram Skull with Perfect Horns!  Real animal skull bone art!
4.4 lbs, measures 18" from horn tip to horn tip.  Each horn measures approximately 26" following the twists and curves.  Approximately 11" from front tip to base of skull.
Missing two front Incisors on either side, however, magnificent set of large Molars displayed symmetrically on both sides of mouth.  The Nasal bone looks glued, but that is varnish coated for protection by the Arizona sun; most of the varnish had been burned off by the sun on the outside.  You can see a smooth coating on the inside of the skull when handling the piece.
Pre-wired for wall mounting or would look great on a stand.  A marvelous art piece!
Characteristics of a Ram and Skull Symbolism
Rams are male bighorn sheep, animals that live in the mountains and often settle arguments with fights that include ramming their heads into others. Not to be confused with mountain goats, rams can be identified by their long, curved horns, long fur, and split hooves.
In many ancient societies the ram skull is very symbolic and is said to symbolize
    initiative, action, leadership and determination
.  Its other symbolic values continue on with themes of dominance and masculinity, such as power, drive, bravery, and energy.  The feisty ram animal totem has been a prominent symbol of determination and activity throughout history and across cultures.
    Skull
symbolism is the attachment of symbolic meaning to the human
    skull
. The most common symbolic use of the
    skull
is as a representation of death, mortality and the unachievable nature of immortality. Our present society predominantly associates
    skulls
    with death and
    evil
    .
Some people feel that a skull and horns tattoo represents
    death, danger, destruction and fear
. It is a design, which people get, to show power, strength and daringness. ... In ancient times, a skull with horns actually was a symbol of any sort of major change. It was not meant to represent death or fear directly.
