Antique Victorian Reed & Barton Silver Plate Double Pickle Castor Cruet Caddy
Presented for your consideration we are offering this lovely, Victorian, elegant, silver plate castor for double pickle or cruet glass, made in Taunton, Massachusetts, USA, by the artisans and silversmiths at Reed & Barton, late 19
th
– early 20
th
century.
In very good condition, with no dings, oxidation, or spots of missing plating
Presents some minor surface scratches, from glass cruets and / or utensils, commensurate with light use and age
Measures 7 ½” High to top of handle x 7 ¼” Long x 4” Wide with 2 1/8” Diameter for glass bottles or cruets
Simple yet elegant tray and glass holders give way to a stunning, ornate curved handle with etched leaves sculpted onto outer edges, accented with flowing curves in classic Victorian style, while bottom tray is double embossed in four places
Raised footed glass holders are quite thick and heavy, keeping cruets in place and lending a solid feel to construction in classic Reed & Barton quality
