    Description
    AEMC 6416 Clamp-On Ground Resistance Tester, 1500Ω
Employing a stakeless testing method, the unit’s clamp is placed around the earth ground rod or the connecting cable and a known voltage is induced by one half of the clamp while the current is measured by the other half. Subsequently, the tester automatically determines the ground loop resistance at this grounding connection.
Eliminating the need to disconnect parallel ground rods and find suitable locations for placing auxiliary ground stakes, the stakeless testing method saves time and enables users such as industrial and utility electricians, and field service electricians and contractors, to perform earth ground loop tests in locations where it is not possible to use other techniques, including inside buildings or on power pylons.
Further improving the unit’s versatility and security, a contact voltage indication feature that warns when the voltage derived from current and resistance measurements detect a potentially dangerous touch condition, as well as selectable test frequency function that provides more accurate results in inductive environments, have been incorporated.
    Features
High sensitivity measurement function of leakage current flowing to ground or circulating in ground loops from 0.2 mA to 40 A
