    Description

    This listing is for a
    DIESEL
    powered
    STERN DRIVE
    Pro-Line 2950.
The boat was re-powered years ago with twin Volvo AD41B diesel engines that are jack-shafted to a pair of Mercruiser Bravo 2 drives.
These 200-HP diesel engines are probably one of the most reliable and bullet-proof marine diesel engines ever produced.  These turbocharged engines are completely mechanical, so no electrical control units to go bad, no limp modes like the newer engines, etc. Very reliable engines that will never let you down. These engines burn absolutely no oil. The Bravo 2 drives are well-maintained and nearly bulletproof as well.  This unique boat is an offshore fisherman’s dream.
Being a 1997 Pro-Line model, this boat has absolutely NO WOOD in the hull – everything is fiberglass and composite, so no need to ever worry about rotten stringers, bulkheads, or transoms.  Photos of the Venture tri-axle aluminum trailer are available upon request.  This trailer is included for the buy-it-now price, otherwise negotiable.
Here are some key specifications for this boat:
Overall Length: 30’-0” (plus 3’-2” for platform and drives)
    Overall Width: 10’-10”
    Cabin Head Room: 6’-6”
    Fuel Capacity 220 gallons ( 2 x 110 gal saddle tanks)
Engine Hours: < 1500 Hours Total
    Outdrives: 2.00:1 Gear Ratio
    Props: Counter-rotating 3-Blade 20-Pitch Aluminum
Top Speed: 34-35 MPH at WOT
    Cruise Speed: 28-30 MPH
    Economy: 1.7-1.8 MPG at Cruise
This boat is set up for great lakes fishing and includes the following electronics and features:
    (2) Lowrance HDS-8 “Lake Insight” units w/ Thru-Hull Transducer
    SIMRAD AP-24 Autopilot
    (4) Cannon Mag 10 STX Downriggers
New Bennett Hydraulic Trim Tabs with EIC5000 Electronic Controller
    Electric Windlass
    Spotlight
    Spreader Lights
    Large In-Floor Fish Box
    Norcold Refrigerator/Freezer
    Freshwater Washdown System
    Thru-Hull Cooling Water Pick-Ups
This boat has a nice head/shower, but please note that the black water tank appears to have been removed when the diesel engines were installed, hence the head cannot be used at this time.
A low-profile tank will need to be installed under the starboard engine, and this would probably require the removal of the starboard engine to do so.  But once again, these engines are very easy to access and hence easy to disconnect and remove.
The cabin air conditioner and water heater have never been used, so we cannot confirm their functionality.
This boat is easy to tow and annual wide load permits cost about 0 per year (in Michigan).
This boat has been regularly maintained, and the owner is very familiar with the engines, drives, and electronics.
The boat is very clean for its age.
There are signs of some dock rash along the starboard side where the previous owner had the gel-coat repaired, but the gel-coat has apparently faded over time and is not properly color-matched.
    See photos for details.
Sea trials are welcome, and additional/specific photos and/or videos are available for serious interested parties.
Delivery to anywhere in Michigan is available for a small fee.
    Buyer must coordinate out-of-state deliveries.
The ONLY reason that we are looking to sell this boat is that we would like to change over to a longer center console, preferably a power catamaran type boat with less draft.
Hence, we are open and willing to trade for a bigger center console or power catamaran boat or equal or greater value.
Note that the Pro-Line 30/31 Walkaround (2000–05) is the same exact boat as this 2950, but with an integrated transom. Also note that wood-free construction began in 1995 for the 2950 model.
Once again, you are looking at a Pro-Line 2950 with mechanical DIESEL engines and STERN DRIVES that is in a great condition and turnkey – ready to take out fishing!  We have put over 75 hours on this boat so far this summer, even won a three-day fishing tournament with it.  Please feel free to ask any and all questions about this boat.
Unfortunately, we are only willing to work with buyers from the continuous 48-states, and will not entertain offers from international buyers.
    Thanks for looking.
