"BOATING" ORIGINAL THERMOS BOTTLE
- 1959 Holtemp / The American Thermos Bottle Co. 3.25" diameter x 8". Color litho on flat metal with original red plastic cup and "Polly Red Top" inner cap.
Nice water sports art featuring sail boats, a speed motorboat, and two waterskiers.
A scarce thermos design, originally accompanying the 1959 "Boating" lunch box.
Condition is considered FAIR with moderate surface/stain/edge wear. Scattered spot oxidation & small paint chips on litho areas. One hairline surface crack (approx. 1-1/4") on red cup. No chips or cracks on "Polly Red Top" stopper. Glass insert still intact. Litho colors are still bright and attractive.
Overall, we feel this is a very displayable example by most standards (see photos).
It would make an uncommon display for the discriminating VINTAGE THERMOS CONTAINER enthusiast. On a condition code scale of 1 to 10, the above listed item(s) rated - (7-6).
